Maiju Pohjanheimo

is an Oulu-based photographer available for commissions. She is working freelance with photojournalism, feature, editorial, commercial assignments and still photography for film and TV. Pohjanheimo has been awarded the Portrait of the Year in Edit-competition by Finnish Magazine Media Association and her work has been exhibited internationally, among others in London and Estonia.

Pohjanheimo's background is in photojournalism and she has been awarded the degree of Master of Arts having followed an approved programme of study in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at University of the Arts London.

When I work my aim is to connect to the emotions and bring this out in my pictures.
